Piotr Puchalski participated in the international conference 'Colonial Entanglements in Central and Eastern Europe before 1939′ organised by Institute of Polish Culture, University of Warsaw (IKP UW) in cooperation with Leibniz ScienceCampus ‘Eastern Europe – Global Area’ (EEGA), with the talk entitled ’The Postcolonial in Poland’s Entanglements in Africa in the Twentieth Century: A Historical Perspective’.

Piotr Puchalski carried out an academic internship at the University of Pretoria, which included research at the National Archives in Pretoria, the Department of Defence Archives, the Historical Papers at the University of Witwatersrand, the Polish-South African National Heritage Foundation, and the Polish Union of South Africa. He fulfilled some aims of the research project during the trip, but the funding came from the UKEN IDUB-03 Excellent Mobility.

Michał Maciejewski was hired as the scholarship recipient in the grant and began research on the Polish attitudes towards Africans during World War II.

Piotr Puchalski participated in the ASEEES Convention in Philadelphia with the talk entitled 'The Unexpected Liaisons: Polish Officers and Diplomats in British Africa during World War II’.

Michał Maciejewski presented his PhD dissertation topic (’The Attitudes of the Polish State and Society towards the Second Italo-Abyssinian War 1935-1936′) at the Public Reporting Session of the UKEN Doctoral School.

Piotr Puchalski and Michał Maciejewski organized an international academic conference 'The Postcolonial Perspective in the Study of Polish History: Benefits, Challenges, Potential’, in international cooperation with Lenny A. Ureña Valerio and Ian Macqueen. The conference attracted guests from 11 different countries around the world.

Piotr Puchalski participated in an online seminar exploring the history of Polish Sovietology during the Cold War, with the talk 'The Polish Diaspora in Africa: Between Communism and Colonialism during the Cold War’. The seminar series is organized as part of the NCN project entitled 'Diffused Experts’ Networks: The Destiny and Accomplishments of Polish Sovietologists in Exile during the Cold War’ (no. 2021/41/B/HS3/01944), in collaboration with the 'Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre’ Centre in Lublin and the Historia BEZ KITU channel.
